KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Ice Vols have broken into the top five in the first Southeast ACHA Men’s Division II ranks on Nov. 13.
This is the Ice Vols’ first season back in ACHA Men’s Division II since 2020. After beating Alabama and splitting with both Tampa and South Carolina, the team plans to continue climbing the ranks.
“Being a top 5 team in the Southeast is a great feeling,” President Patrick Green said. “It shows we’ve been consistently getting better and growing as a team. We look forward to building on this success and finding ourselves in the win column each weekend.”
Having started the season with a 0-2 record, the Ice Vols have worked their way back to a 6-5 winning record. Showing continuous growth in play and chemistry as a team, these ranks are a representation of the hard work displayed by players and coaches alike.
“I am very proud of where our team is now from where we started the begin of the season,” captain Connor Frazer said. “We have definitely come together as a group, and we look forward to bringing that same intensity for the rest of this semester and into the next.”
Tennessee’s next ACHA matchup will take place on Nov. 21 and 23 against the Florida Gator’s in Jacksonville, FL.
